Celtic players avoid missiles during full-time celebrations after a staff member leaves in need of points

CELTIC players had to dodge a missile fired at them during full-time celebrations at Ibrox.

Ange Postecoglou and her team were celebrating with 700 Ibrox mobile stands when an object was thrown from the stands.

Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate, Cameron Carter-Vickers, James McCarthy, Scott Bain, David Turnbull and Anthony Ralston have distanced themselves from the object.

Despite the near miss, players seemed to laugh at the missile that fell on the pitch before continuing to cheer for the away support.

After the match, Sky Sports cameras captured the entire event.

The second half came after Joe Hart was delayed by broken glass in the penalty area. Before the start of the second half, a broken glass bottle was found in the box.

Hart and Ibrox’s staff secured the box by removing the broken pieces before play resumed after a five-minute delay.

Postecglou also confirmed that after the game, a behind-the-scenes staff member who was hit by a mid-range missile needed stitches.

When asked to confirm the information, Postecglou replied: “Yes, it was on its way. I think it’s fine, she has some seams.

“It’s disappointing because it’s a game that has been released all over the world and it stands on its own.

“You had two teams fighting for first and second place and you don’t need some idiot to screw it up.”
