Paulo Sergio identifies Braga’s main threat to Rangers Europa League dreams

PAULO SERGIO has identified the Ricardo Horta winger as the main threat that Rangers should pay attention to against Braga.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst will travel to Portugal this week for the champions aiming to place themselves in the semi-finals of the Europa League.

Rangers must recover from defeat to Old Firm and ensure that a crucial run in April doesn’t get out of hand but lose control of the Premiership title.

And former Hearts boss Sergio believes Horta is the key player for Van Bronckhorst to watch closely as Rangers try to return to Glasgow with a positive first leg.

Sergio declared: “Ricardo Horta is destined to go to the top championships. He can score in any game, he is a great player and the great teams are already talking about him.

“I don’t know how you like him, but the biggest teams in Portugal are watching him closely and everyone agrees that he should be in the national team. I know the Spanish teams are watching it too.

“He went to La Liga with Malaga at the very beginning of his career, but maybe he wasn’t ready yet. But now, I think in a great moment.

“These games against Rangers are a great opportunity to show these great clubs what they can do. I think he will do his best to show his name to the world ”.
