A new perfume launched by Elon Musk, which accepts payments in Dogecoin (DOGE), rocked the global cryptocurrency community this Wednesday (12).
Considered the richest man in the world, the billionaire is also CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, companies that also accept Dogecoin as a method of payment.
In addition to Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk also owns The Boring Company, another company of the mogul that has been accepting Dogecoin as payment since July 2022.
Elon Musk launches new perfume that can be bought with payment in Dogecoin
With the scent of “Burnt Hair”, the new perfume of Elon Musk was announced last Tuesday (11) and is now on sale.
In his publicity post, Musk said that anyone interested in the product can afford the price of US$100.00 in Dogecoin, which is approximately R$530.00.
And you can pay with Doge!

The billionaire stated that the perfume is all-encompassing, that is, it can be used by men or women.
What draws attention to the case is that a few hours after the perfume announcement, Elon Musk said that he had already sold the first 10,000 bottles, and that he could not wait for news with the name of his item, which was burnt hair.
Musk is known for his jokes and public memes, so he considers Dogecoin to be his cryptocurrency of choice, even more so than bitcoin. That is why all its companies now accept DOGE as a means of payment.
Despite the billionaire’s support, DOGE’s price has shown no signs of strength as it has fallen 1.1% in the past 24 hours, even as Musk has released news. Since May 2021, Dogecoin has already devalued 91%.
Product can be bought by Brazilians
On The Boring Company’s website, Elon Musk’s company makes it clear that the US$100.00 price already includes shipping for those living in the United States.
However, if you live in Brazil and are interested in buying the perfume, you will pay additional shipping costs, according to the website.
So in addition to the price of R$530.00 which can be paid in Dogecoin, the final price could be much higher.
