Nuns Build Church With Bitcoin Help, Promote Cryptocurrency For Believers

Like many other cities in the worldKansas Cityin the state of Missouri, USA, has many churches in the middle of its fields, and one of them draws attention not to the construction, but to the way it is built: Funded with Bitcoin.

According to information from Bitcoin Magazine the Catholic Church Was Built About Three Years Ago Thanks To Bitcoinand now serves as a prayer center for twenty nuns, who, in addition to fulfilling their Catholic religion, enjoy the benefits of the world’s largest cryptocurrency and try to show others what those benefits are.

the church of Benedictines of Mary, Queen of the Apostles, used several Bitcoin donations to build and renovate his temple, without seeking a bank loan or incurring a large debt.

THE Priory Churchas it is called in the religious community, was built using bitcoin donations. Since then, the Church has hosted liturgical and Eucharistic events that have been recorded and published on the Church’s official website.

Bitcoin Supporter Priest Wants To Bring The ‘Bitcoin Standard’ To Other Churches

When we think of priests, the last thing that comes to mind is someone who orange pilled and who understands the crypto market and its importance for the future, but this is the case? Mateo Bartulicaa church chaplain who promoted the use of Bitcoin among nuns.

bartulica believe that life in abbey of the nuns is equivalent to a bitcoiner citadel, such as Bitcoin Beach in El Salvador. He also told Bitcoin Magazine that with the citadel, the religious “will help rebuild civilization in the 21st century”, just as the Order of Saint Benedict helped rebuild Western civilization after the fall of Rome.

The priest expresses similar opinions to Jimmy Song, a bitcoiner maximalist who claimed that one of Bitcoin’s virtues is prudence, translated into temporary low preferences, “what might the future hold.”

“The monastic life they lead at the abbey is probably the greatest example of a preferential nadir as it tries to pass on traditions to future generations. This also has a big impact on the culture, because it is not only about satisfying immediate desires, but also about building a better future,” explains Bartulica.

Bartulica taught the sisters how to use hardware wallets and taught them how to send, receive and understand more about the Bitcoin idea. He is on a mission to convert local Catholic parishes to the Bitcoin standard.

The construction of the church came thanks to generous Bitcoin donations in 2017, the year Bitcoin exploded in popularity and price, reaching $20,000 for the first time.

These donations allowed the order of nuns to pay for the construction of the church without the need for traditional processes such as financing. One of the nuns, Mother Cecilia described his first encounter with Bitcoin in 2017:

“She [ doadores de Bitcoin] they knew we had to build the church, and boy, did that help! I mean, wow, what a blessing. Without it, we would still be paying off a loan for this beautiful building,” Cecilia said.

With that, despite Bitcoiners’ reputation for being hoarders and their coins out of circulation, generosity shone through and the nuns were able to sell the profits (tax free) to build their church.

“We had such a beautiful success with several very large bitcoin donations to help build this house of prayer. (…) Something that will last, something that will be passed down from generation to generation, to last a thousand years, this beautiful monument to God.” Mother Cecilia concluded.
