FURIA Takes FTX Out Of Uniform For CS:GO Major Semifinals

Before playing in the semifinals of the CS:GO Major Championship, one of the FURIA team directors announced that the team will no longer display the FTX brand that sponsors the players.

According to André Akkari, the goal is to prevent fans of the team from being harmed in the current phase of the company, which went bankrupt and frozen recordings.

“The current case of our crypto exchange sponsor, which is in the global news, serves as an example. After a discussion with our contacts at the company, it was decided that FURIA will discontinue the FTX exhibition and remove the brand from all areas.”

FTX

The Brazilian eSports team signed a deal with FTX in April of this year. Speaking to Esports Insider, FURIA confirmed that FTX paid approximately $3.2 million for the one-year contract.

FTX’s expansion in Brazil began with the purchase of the TSM team in the middle of the year. The brokerage soon began investing in Free Fire and Wild Rift teams within the regions.

With FURIA, FTX increased its fame not only in Brazil, but also in the United States, where the team had plans to expand.

The FTX crash caused a knock-on effect on the market, affecting the price of all cryptocurrencies.

Now those who had deposits with the brokerage have to face a lengthy process to try and recoup some of their investments, as happened in other cases.

FURY

FURIA is the only Brazilian team at the IEM Rio Major and even has Neymar as an avid fan. The Brazilian player who has been selected for the national team is very involved in the CS:GO game. He has played casual matches with FURIA players in the past and even killed Vitality star Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut with a knife.

The Paris Saint-Germain player is also close friends with one of FURIA’s owners, Cris Guedes.
