The National Federation of Associations of Central Bank Servers (Fenasbac) has opened registration to accelerate Brazilian fintechs developing blockchain solutions to aid in the Real digital project.
Batch 2 of fintech acceleration seeks companies with high growth potential. All interested parties can register for the Next program until February 15, 2023.
The challenge counts on the partnership of the maintenance companies Mercado Bitcoin, Elo, Sinqia, Nuclea (CIP) and Finansystech, in addition to the support of Numerik and MCS Law.
The Fenasbac process is looking for blockchain fintechs to challenge with Real digital, see how it will work
After applying, companies go through a three-stage selection process. These are: Apply Online, Technical Interviews and Pitch Day. The announcement of the selected candidates and their projects will take place on 8 March.
For Batch 2, Aceleração Next is looking for innovative projects related to international financial flows via blockchain, as well as financial inclusion solutions with blockchain infrastructure and new payment flows in distributed ledgers.
Infrastructure projects for Real Digital and stablecoins, as well as tokenization projects and full management of digital assets are also of interest.
Finally, using data intelligence to reduce defaults and artificial intelligence for Open Finance data are other sought-after lines.
Danielle Teixeira, leader of innovation projects at Fenasbac, emphasizes that Next is made for fintechs and companies with robust financial projects, based on technology and innovation, aligned with the most important current financial challenges. According to her, this is a great opportunity for the participants.
“The program is very complete and is undoubtedly a great asset for fintechs. There is an opportunity to network, make important contacts with great companies and build meaningful relationships. The entire environment has been carefully developed with the aim of shortening the development path for fintechs and helping them to evolve faster and more assertively, both in terms of business and products and in terms of regulations. The knowledge gained is very great.”
The 2022 edition had six pilot projects
With the aim of accelerating innovative financial solutions with regulatory guidance for fintechs in the operational phase, Next will feature mentorships from leading financial market specialists, sponsors and also Fenasbac.
The goal is to develop solutions that can benefit society and contribute to a modern and more competitive national financial system, in addition to strengthening the Brazilian financial ecosystem.
In 2022 there were 60 registrations, more than 90 hours of supervision, 200 hours of activities, 60 connections to the market and six pilot projects. Those interested in participating in Acceleration Next should check the rules on the project’s official website.
