In an unprecedented report on a possible scam of millions of reais in Campina Grande carried out by Braiscompany, BBC News Brasil investigated the company’s suspicious practice of delaying customer withdrawals.

The report outlines a tension that the people of Campina Grande experience with the company that provided income from renting cryptocurrencies.

Braiscompany had an unconventional business model, says BBC

With client cryptocurrency leases, Braiscompany made it clear that withdrawals would only be allowed after a year.

That is, the business model was not very conventional and as the income shortfall ended at the end of 2022, the BBC points out that a sense of default hangs over the city of Paraíba.

Wanted, the company preferred not to comment on the problems experienced, which continues to accumulate customer complaints.

The fear that the decline in sales will hit the city with the second highest GDP in the state after the capital João Pessoa remains on the skin of customers.

After all, many sold houses, cars and other assets to contribute to the possible financial pyramid.

In a recent live report, Antônio Neto Ais, the founder of Braiscompany, stated that he had 600 million reais from 10,000 clients under his management.

jet sold

In addition to investigating the possible scam by Braiscompany, the BBC also discovered that the jet belonging to the company had been sold in recent days.

The sale became official last Thursday (9) on Anac’s website, the buyer is a health company from Espírito Santo.

In other words, in addition to delaying customer withdrawals, the company has also been selling assets on the market, which has alerted investors to potential insolvency.

Binance broke the silence

Not to comment on Braiscompany’s situation, the Binance broke its silence when approached by the BBC. According to the brokerage, no action will be taken against a client without a plausible reason.

According to the brokerage firm, the terms of use, service agreement and current policies must be accepted by all users working on the platform, i.e. everyone is aware of the practices.

The global platform has been accused by Antônio Neto of being responsible for blocking withdrawals. Since his company operates cryptocurrencies locally, he claims this is to blame for the lack of payments to customers.

The new report, from a traditional press vehicle founded in 1922 in the United Kingdom, shows that the crisis in Paraíba has already swept the world.
