Doge’s creator says he left the project due to death threats

Billy Markus, better known as Shibetoshi Nakamoto, was uncomfortable with the cryptocurrency community. Creator of Dogecoin, Markus reconfirmed who has not worked on the project for 9 years and has few DOGEs.

“Don’t tell me how to represent DOGE. I am not [a represento], not at all. I just represent myself”He wrote. “Don’t demand things from strangers that don’t owe you anything. They’ll think you’re an idiot.”

“There’s a part of the community that I like and a part of the community that I despise.”

Apparently, the creator of Dogecoin was pressured by the community to promote the project he created. One of the reasons may be his connection with Elon Musk, a billionaire with whom Markus has a certain openness on social networks.

“The annoying thing is that it’s usually people who have been around for years and say nonsense like ‘he doesn’t represent Dogecoin the way I want it’, but they are the same people who have literally been obsessed with being an asshole for years. So fuck it …like these guys.

Dogecoin Creator reveals he doesn’t want to create another cryptocurrency

Speaking to his followers, Billy Markus also revealed that he had given up on the project because of “psychopaths” that exist in the community. Asked if he would make another cryptocurrency, the Dogecoin creator replied “never”.

“I made [a DOGE] 10 years ago as a joke”aired Billy Markus. “I left the project because of death threats from the psychopathic part of the community called badasses, and there’s no reason to work hard for free without benefit.”

In previous testimonials, Markus revealed that he sold and donated all of his Dogecoins in 2015, before the major appreciation of his cryptocurrency. “It was enough for me to buy a used Honda Civic”commented at the time, pointing out that he works as a software engineer and has lost any connection with Doge.

“I will always be a co-founder, but every decision is made by [DOGE] it’s not mine, I don’t consider myself part of the community, just a person who made it 10 years ago.

Priced at $0.076 and with 138.8 billion coins in circulation, Dogecoin is currently the 8th largest cryptocurrency in the industry with a market cap of $10.6 billion.

Cryptocurrencies are bullshit, but so is fiat

The American Billy Markus also spoke about the recent US regulatory burden. Although he believes that cryptocurrencies are always related to speculation and hype, the developer does not believe that banning them is the best solution.

“Personally, I believe cryptocurrencies are basically a bunch of dumb nonsense”wrote the creator of Dogecoin. “But all the complaints I have about that also exist in our bullshit financial system.”

Banning some nonsense in favor of other nonsense is not the solution.

Finally, this isn’t the first time Markus has been sour about cryptocurrencies. In 2011, during the rise of Shiba Inu (SHIB), DOGE’s breeder stated that the market was ridiculous and that the SHIB community was very toxic.
