This Sunday (21) in Brazil, the tests for the position of lawyer at the National Treasury will be applied in several cities in the country and the bank has issued a warning for candidates to study about cryptocurrencies.
According to information from the Attorney General of the National Treasury (PGFN), the competition has undergone changes in the Tax Code section.
It is worth remembering that the test is promoted by the Supreme Council of the Union General Counsel (CSAGU).
The objective test is organized by the Brazilian Center for Research in Evaluation and Selection and Promotion of Events (Cebraspe), affiliated with the University of Brasília (UnB). There are a total of 100 vacancies, of which 75 for broad competition, 20 for black candidates and five vacancies for people with disabilities.
In addition to cryptocurrencies and blockchain, the public procurement panel warns that RFB instructions on the subject could fall on the test
As established by live coinsthe changes took place in recent days at the request of the CSAGU, which corrected the notification.
Thus, the objects of assessment of tax law, crypto assets, blockchain (shared platform that records transactions in cryptocurrencies) and instruction of the Federal Tax Agency on this topic were included.
Normative Instruction of the Federal Tax Agency No. 1.888/2019 regulates the obligation of Brazilian investors to declare ownership and negotiation of cryptocurrencies.
On May 4, 2023, the President of the Supreme Court of the Attorney General’s Office, Jorge Messias, signed the amendments and corrected the public notice in a publication in the Official Gazette of the Union.
In this way it is clear that the focus of the candidates is on knowledge of how cryptocurrencies are taxed in Brazil.
First competition for the position to charge knowledge in cryptocurrencies
This is the first career competition since 2015. The previous ones (2015, 2012, 2007, 2003 and 1998) were conducted by the former School of Finance Administration (ESAF), incorporated into the National School of Public Administration (ENAP). in 2019.
After the result, the approved candidates are called to choose vacancies. Although the PGFN is headquartered in Brasília, it also has a presence in more than 80 locations across the country, in the regional, state and divisional law offices.
In 2015, the first placed chose to take office in Campos dos Goytacazes (RJ), Santo André (SP) and São Bernardo do Campo (SP) respectively. 19,107 candidates were registered for the election this year, slightly more than in 2015, when 18,662 candidates competed for 150 vacancies.
It is worth remembering that in recent years, the PGFN has even assisted the federal police in cryptocurrency seizures, demonstrating that the body already knows the subject well.
