Next week, the Brazilian Association of Cryptoeconomics (ABCripto) and the National Federation of Associations of Central Bank Servers (FENASBAC) will bring together big names from the cryptocurrency market in Criptorama and Money Monster Brazil.
The aim is to stimulate the regulation and development of the digital economy. The free event will be held on June 6 and 7 at Clube da Asbac, in Brasília. All interested parties can register via the Sympla platform.
Expectations for the event are high as in June 2023 the Marco das Cryptocurrencies will come into effect. The market awaits the publication of the government of Lula in the coming days with a decree containing the rules.
Cryptocurrency event in Brasilia brings together Central Bank, CVM, Cade and several politicians
The event takes place at a relevant moment in the crypto-economy scenario, especially due to the entry into force of the legal framework for crypto-assets (Law 14.478/2022).
The program is therefore divided into two days. The first will feature Money Monster Brasil, with panels dedicated to the discussion of Real Digital and innovations in the financial system, the challenges and opportunities of financial inclusion and the green economy, highlighting the most relevant and up-to-date vision on these topics.
On the second day, Criptorama Brasilia has panels focused on regulatory issues, digital reality and innovation in the financial system for ecosystem development.
Names like Bruno de Freitas Gomes, superintendent of securitization oversight at the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM), and Fábio Araujo, coordinator of the Central Bank’s Real Digital project, participate in Cryptorama.
To discuss tax issues such as the regulatory framework for cryptocurrencies, taxes, PLD, exchange, Senator Soraya Thronicke (União), Senator Carlos Portinho (PL) and Federal Deputy Aureo Ribeiro (SD) will be present.
Other participating names include Lilian Marques (CADE), Nathalie Vidual (CVM), Jonathan Levin (Chainalysis), Lígia Ennes (Ministry of Finance).
Fernando Haddad has not yet confirmed participation
One of the guests participating in the event is Finance Minister Fernando Haddad. However, he has not yet confirmed his attendance at the event and according to Livecoins in his official calendar, there is no information whether he will attend the cryptocurrency event in person.
Other guests invited to participate in the Money Monster on June 6 include Central Bank presidents Roberto Campos Neto and CVM president João Pedro Nascimento.
If they confirm their presence, the authorities should participate in the opening of the event and contribute to the debates on the Brazilian cryptocurrency market, which is going through a unique moment in its history with the arrival of the first formal regulation.
