As a recommendation, the user points out that people should disable such permissions within Twitter itself to mitigate this risk.

However, another user brought even more criticism to Friend Tech, stating that the decentralized social network has already experienced a major information leak.

“101,183 people gave Tech Friend access to post like them, indicating a leaked database.”

Checking the information, the live coins discovered that the GitHub repository referenced in the post above is no longer available. Therefore, we were unable to verify their content, which allegedly contained wallet addresses and usernames.

Friend Tech stated in its defense that such data is public. In other words, there was no leakage.

“This is just someone collecting our public API that shows the association between public wallet addresses and public Twitter usernames. It’s like saying someone hacked you by looking at your public Twitter feed.”Friend Tech wrote, calling the media irresponsible.

Finally, in addition to the great lack of information about the project and the great criticism in the early days, the community has doubts whether the project will continue. That is, it is possible that it has the same purpose as play-to-earn games, which disappeared as quickly as they appeared.
