A profile named Satoshi Nakamoto (@satoshi) on Twitter presented a puzzling message to his followers on Monday (2). The text points out that, “In the coming months we will explore several aspects that were not explicitly included in the white paper”.
According to archiving websites, this profile was created in 2007, two years before the launch of Bitcoin. However, since the name ‘Satoshi’ is common in Japan, it may have been coined by someone else.

The same profile was very active in 2018, with several tweets about Bitcoin, but without much engagement. Sixteen years after its founding, both the profile and Twitter are very different.

The Mysterious Message of ‘Satoshi Nakamoto’
The identity of Satoshi Nakamoto may be a mystery that humanity will never be able to unravel. Although there are several candidates, no one has been able to prove who the mysterious figure behind Bitcoin’s creation is.
In any case, a profile caught the attention of Twitter this Monday (2). The profile took the name of Bitcoin’s creator on Twitter, Satoshi Nakamoto, and left a mysterious message that needed to be unraveled.
“Bitcoin is a predicate machine. Over the coming months we will explore several aspects not explicitly included in the white paper. All these aspects are part of bitcoin and are important. Some of these ideas were addressed in the early years; now it’s time to extrapolate and explain.”

With over 650,000 views at the time of writing, the tweet has already attracted over 2,500 responses. Most contain few words praising Nakamoto. Therefore, it is difficult to make a more objective assessment of the prediction that the profile is talking about.
The true profile of the Bitcoin creator may be different
Although the username on Twitter is identical to that of Bitcoin’s creator on his own forum, Bitcointalk, the chance that such a profile actually belongs to Satoshi Nakamoto is virtually zero.
Regardless, the community believes that Satoshi Nakamoto actually used Twitter, but through a different account. Besides Hal Finney, the GoldLover profile (@faffcffacfff) was the only one to talk about Bitcoin in January 2009, the month the cryptocurrency was launched.
“It is completely decentralized, without servers or trusted parties.”

Four days before the publication of the Bitcoin whitepaper, in 2008, the profile also defended the idea of private currency minting, a rare topic at the time. This profile stopped being active in 2010, the same year Nakamoto left Bitcoin. The full story reveals other connections between ‘GoldLover’ and Satoshi Nakamoto.
Finally, Bitcoin continues to thrive even without a central name in its development for 13 years. This Monday (2), BTC surpassed $28,000 after a daily increase of 4.5%, pending the approval of spot ETFs in the US.
