The Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) and the Brazilian Cryptoeconomics Association (ABCripto) will launch four podcast episodes focused on the cryptocurrency market during World Investor Week 2023 (World Investor Week – WIW).
The episodes are presented by Paulo Portinho, Manager Education and Financial Inclusion (GEIF) at CVM, and Bernardo Srur, CEO of ABCripto.
With guests, the podcast will talk and debate about the origins, foundations, foundations, regulation and experiences of cryptoactive substances in the investment world. Bruno Gomes, Chief Inspector of Securitization and Agribusiness (SSE) at CVM, will be one of the guests and will speak about the Authority’s guidelines regarding cryptoassets in the capital market.
The episodes will be made available on audio platforms and on the CVM YouTube channel (CVM Educacional). The first was broadcast last Tuesday (3) and the others should arrive on October 6, 2023.
The initiative is part of the technical cooperation agreement signed this year between the institutions, with the aim of developing actions aimed at financial education, in addition to creating campaigns and educational materials aimed at the population on new financial technologies, in particular decentralized finance. (DeFi) and other applications related to crypto-economics, blockchain and digital asset investments.
It is worth remembering that the CVM participates in the Investor Week, which in the 2023 edition placed the cryptocurrency market as one of the main topics in discussions, both for beginners and for experienced investors in the investment market.

1. Episode 1: Crypto-Origins (released 10/3/2023)
Theme: Origins of crypto-economics. The first experiences, actors, events and motivations that gave rise to this new ecosystem that offers challenges and opportunities to the traditional market. Guest: Courtnay Guimaraes (chief scientist at Avanade).
2. Episode 2: Crypto-Foundation (released 4-10-2023)
Theme: Fundamentals, foundations, concepts and jargon of the crypto economy. Guest: Marco Carnut (head of technology at Zro.Bank)
3. Episode 3: Cryptoassets on the regulated market (launching on October 5, 2023)
Topic: How to adapt to the rules and good practices of cryptoactive substances, according to the guidelines of supervisors and self-regulators. How to take advantage of the competitive advantages of regulated crypto assets. Guests: Bruno Gomes (SSE/CVM) and Rodrigo Monteiro (Director of Institutional Relations at ABCripto).
4. Episode 4: Crypto, not all that glitters is gold (10/6/2023 issue)
Topic: How to avoid risks and explore solutions and good practices to prevent crypto asset fraud, which can ensure the security and trust of users and the market. Guests: Renata Mancini (Head of Compliance at Ripio Brasil) and Denis Rocho (CEO of Declare Cripto).
