Soon, 22,000 United Nations employees will be able to learn everything about Web3 and blockchain thanks to Algorand. The United Nations Development Program has hired the Algorand Foundation to develop a Web3 educational curriculum for its employees.
Algorand creates CV for VN
Yesterday, November 30, it was announced that the UNDP will make the Algorand Blockchain Academy available to its more than 22,000 employees and employees of other United Nations agencies. The curriculum focuses on practical applications of blockchain technology in the context of sustainable development.
A beta version of the course will be launched in the first quarter of 2024 and will be made available to UNDP staff later this year. The initiative was announced by Robert Pasicko, a UNDP research and data analyst focused on alternative financing and low-carbon development, at the Algorand Impact Summit in New Delhi.
“The Algorand Blockchain Academy will play an important role in equipping our team with the tools needed to tackle complex global challenges using blockchain technology,” said Pasicko. “We look forward to… educating, empowering and inspiring UN professionals around the world.”
Representatives from the Algorand HesabPay, Wholechain, Koibanx and Quantum Temple projects will participate in the initiative.
“We see this education and resources initiative as a crucial first step in identifying and delivering practical, real-world blockchain examples to help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals in a number of areas,” said Doro Unger-Lee, Head of Education and Inclusion at the Algorand Foundation.
Using Algorand on BLOX
