In a note published this Wednesday (7), the broker says Binance has announced that it will distribute the cryptocurrency Pixels (PIXEL) in your Launchpool. The project is an open-world play-to-ear game focused on farming and exploration, and as the name suggests, features retro graphics.
A total of 350 million pixels will be distributed by Binance. Of this, 280 million Pixels will go to those who stake BNB and another 70 million to those who stake the First Digital USD (FDUSD) stablecoin.
The listing on Binance is scheduled for February 19, a Monday. There will be 5 trading pairs: PIXEL/BTC, PIXEL/USDT, PIXEL/BNB, PIXEL/FDUSD It is PIXEL/TRY.
Although no price has been announced yet, the project has held three private sales rounds, including one led by Animoca Brands. In the latter, each PIXEL was valued at $0.012, a number that can serve as a baseline for more reward-oriented investors.
Binance Announces Airdrop and Listing of Play-to-Earn Cryptocurrency Pixels
Play-to-ear games made a lot of noise in 2021 and even major studios had to study this trend. However, the industry cooled due to the following year’s bear market, causing games like Axie Infinity to lose much of their user base.
The fever may have returned. The main name could be Pixels, a game with retro graphics, which is supported by Binance.
“Pixels are one [jogo de] open world of farming and exploration, built pixel by pixel”points to Binance’s research. “Collect resources, upgrade skills, and build relationships as you explore the story and missions woven throughout the Pixels universe.”

As for the PIXEL cryptocurrency, it will run on both Ethereum and Ronin. In addition to being used to create in-game NFTs, it will also be used to purchase VIP battle passes and other features.
The game has been in development since 2021 and currently has 150,000 active daily players, a number that is expected to grow significantly following PIXEL’s listing on Binance.

Will PIXEL cryptocurrency be sustainable?
One of the traumas players carry with them is the unsustainability of the economic models of old play-to-earn games. In other words, many came in looking for profits while having fun, but ended up suffering huge losses.
In a paper, the Pixels team compared PIXEL to gems from Clash of Clans, a mobile game outside the cryptocurrency ecosystem. Basically, it will be a currency used to purchase items in the game.
“PIXEL is a premium currency in the Pixels game. PIXEL is used to purchase items, upgrades and cosmetic improvements that are outside of the Pixels gameplay and are much harder to find.described the project team. “It’s analogous to the gems in the Clash of Clans game.”
“Players don’t need this token to progress through the game, but if they want to show off a little more, they will.”
All use cases for PIXEL can be read on a special project page. The PIXEL farm on Binance’s Launchpool starts Thursday (8) at 9:00 PM Brasilia time and runs until February 18.
