THE Twentya non-profit organization dedicated to the development of Bitcoin in Brazil and Latin America, announced the Bitcoin Developer Launchpadan intensive three-month program aimed at training Brazilian programmers in the Bitcoin and Lightning Network ecosystem.
Registration for the program, which is completely free, is open until October 2.
The course, starting on November 18, is aimed at developers with a minimum of two years of experience and offers a full immersion in the technical and theoretical foundations of Bitcoin, in addition to preparing participants for open-source culture.
The program includes classes, workshops, practical challenges and mentoring with renowned experts.
Scholarships up to R$ 10,000 per month
The best participants will have the opportunity to work on high-impact projects such as Bitcoin Core and Lightning, with the possibility of compensation of up to R$10,000 per month, in addition to grants from partner organizations such as OpenSats and Spiral.
Bruno Garcia, Bitcoin Core Developer and Educational Director at Vinteum, and Edil Medeiros, Professor of Computer Engineering at the University of BrasĂlia (UnB), will lead the program.
Garcia emphasizes the importance of training new talents to contribute to the future of Bitcoin on the global stage. Medeiros has dedicated himself to researching the Bitcoin protocol and has become a reference in this field.
“Our goal is to prepare developers not only for the technical side, but also for the culture and philosophy of open-source development”said Garcia.
The selection process includes a coding challenge and an interview, as well as a Socratic seminar based on the industry reference book “Mastering Bitcoin” by Andreas Antonopoulos and David Harding.
Those who stand out will be able to collaborate on projects that impact the ecosystem a compensation of up to R$ 10,000 per month. In addition, they can apply for subsidies from Vinteum and partner organisations, such as OpenSats and Spiral.
Vinteum currently funds three full-time Brazilian developers, allowing them to dedicate themselves exclusively to open-source projects such as Bitcoin Core, Bitcoin Dev Kit (BDK), Fedimint, Rutreexo, and Floresta.
