Seth Green is a relatively well-known actor in Hollywood and around the world, despite not having had a great career in movies, Green is recognized as the voice of Chris Griffin (Family Guys) and as the creator of the parody show robot chicken† Green is also an investor in cryptocurrencies and NFTs, but he recently fell for scams and lost 3 of his Bored Apes.
Seth posted the incident on Twitter, urging users of OpenSea and other markets where NFTs may circulate not to trade the tokens stolen from his account. According to the actor, the theft happened after he got involved in a phishing scam. In addition, Green also seems to have found whoever bought one of the stolen NFTs.
“Dear friends, it happened to me. I fell for a phishing scam and 4NFTs were stolen. Please don’t buy or trade these NFTs while I’m trying to figure everything out. DarkWing84, it looks like you bought one of my stolen NFTs, talk to me so we can resolve this situation.”

More than BRL 850 thousand
According to OpenSea price history data, Seth Green lost in total BRL 854.299 in NFTs after falling for the phishing scam. Apparently, the scam is common among those who own NFTs, with similar cases happening at least since February of this year.
Other users on Twitter spoke of similar situations, with some pointing to as many as 32 scams of the same type.
“As far as I know, what is happening is a phishing attack. We don’t believe it’s anything related to the OpenSea website. It appears that 32 users have already signed a malicious payload of the attack and some of their NFTs have been lost.”
As far as we can tell, this is a phishing attack. We do not believe it is affiliated with the OpenSea website. It appears that so far 32 users have signed a malicious payload from an attacker and some of their NFTs have been stolen.

Seth Green’s attack may be the same one that caused millions of damage to OpenSea a few months ago, which was investigated at the time, but it appears it may remain active or another vector may have been discovered.
However, the situation has become a joke for many, firstly because Groen is a well-known figure among comedians, secondly because many are not big fans of the idea of the NFTs.
Some took advantage of the fact that Green is also Chris Griffin to have fun.

Others on the NFT market also took the opportunity to poke fun at the actor falling for a phishing scam, with memes telling him not to “click on the links”
