Man Claiming to be the Creator of Bitcoin Gets Caught Fabricating Evidence in Lawsuit

Craig Wright (CW)Bitcoin, the self-proclaimed creator of Bitcoin and dubbed Faketoshi by the community, remains involved in several legal proceedings, many of which were initiated by himself. In a recent lawsuit filed by the CW against Peter McCormack, Wright was caught fabricating evidence of defamation damages.

According to information from the Law Gazzete, which is following the case in the United Kingdom, Craig Wright sues blogger Peter McCormack for 14 tweets and a YouTube video when McCormack spoke out about Wright and his claim that he was Satoshi.

Wright told London’s Supreme Court yesterday that McCormack’s words had done enough damage to be considered ‘serious’, as set out in Britain’s 2013 Defamation Act.

Wright told the court that as a result of the tweets, a $50 billion patent was infringed because people interpreted what he was doing as a joke† Repeated accusations about his sincerity also forced him to suspend his magistrate application, he said.

Earlier this week, the hearing focused on testifying for Wright, who listed 10 academic conferences he was invited to, but was not invited after McCormack’s reports.

McCormack Defense Says Wright Is Making Evidence

According to the defendant’s defense, Wright is fabricating evidence to justify the serious harm classification, with the attorney in the case stating that she does not believe the connections actually know Wright.

The defense was also surprised by the fact that Wright refused to provide details about the questions asked and, in some cases, answered vaguely.

“It’s very strange to open a case based on specific examples and then withdraw it when asked for more details. Those examples are made up, aren’t they?’ asked McCormack’s defense.

In addition to McCormack’s defense charges, Wright has been charged with falsifying documents and evidence in other cases in other jurisdictions, such as a Miami case.

Craig Wright and his many lawsuits

Wright’s lawsuits go far beyond simply protecting his reputation or loss. His main tactic to prove that he is Satoshi Nakamoto is through lawsuits that ultimately prove nothing at all.

If he wins the case against McCormack, he and his followers will claim that justice has recognized that he is Satoshi Nakamoto. Sounds like an exaggeration? That may be, but not long ago he tried the exact same tactic with the US Patent Office.
