Launch of Luna 2.0 on Binance Delayed, CEO Calls for Calm

After a delay in the execution of the Luna 2.0 airdrop by the Binance exchange, the CEO of the platform took to Twitter to ask users to calm down. According to him, the coins will soon be transferred to all wallets.

The brokerage was among those to announce support for the new version of the most controversial cryptocurrency in recent times, even being accused of being a financial pyramid.

The launch of the new coin was supposed to take place last Friday (27), but was postponed to this Saturday (28). After the launch of the new network, users didn’t show much optimism and ended up selling their tokens, causing 70% drops since launch.

Binance CEO Urges Users To Calm Down Due To Airdrop Delay On New Luna

This Saturday, the new LUNA token will arrive to make way for the old coin, whose name has been changed to Luna Classic.

After Luna’s collapse, the team laid out plans to revive the coin and worked on the launch of a new network and token. While the project still has supporters and people who believe in its potential, most of the market views it with skepticism.

In any case, old LUNA tokens deposited on Binance will be removed from user accounts. In return, they started receiving LUNC, but not at the speed some expected.

This situation eventually led Binance CEO CZ to ask his user base to calm down, indicating that they will soon be able to access their new coins even though they no longer have the market value of the launch. According to him, the mistake is that the broker’s database is large.

β€œThe team is working on distributing the LUNA airdrop to Binance users. We have a large number of users, so please be patient while we process the airdrop. It takes some time to run. Thank you.”

Hacker who stole the LUNA ecosystem project has received new tokens

In recent days, before the collapse of the old LUNA, a hacker had managed to steal some coins from the Mirror Protocol project.

The case was revealed by ecosystem researcher Luna, Fat man, last Thursday (26). According to him, the hacker has benefited millions from the project before the fall of the earth and continues to profit even more.

This Saturday (27), after the LUNC airdrop started for all users, the hacker was caught with millions of dollars of the new token. According to FatMan, he was rewarded for stealing from users.

“A small reward for stealing money from thousands of Mirror users and blocking their money, causing millions in losses.”
