El Salvador is partnering with Israel and will help the country work better with cryptocurrency systems in the future. In the opinion of the Latin country, seeking partnerships can be fundamental to attract more foreign investment to the place.
Since 2021, El Salvador has become a global high point by using bitcoin as its currency. This allows the population to use it in everyday life without worry, be it in commerce or in any other consumer relationship.
In addition, bitcoin was added to the country’s treasury by the local government, and was the first to call the digital currency a store of value with support in its legislation.
Going forward, the country expects bitcoin to be a fundamental part of its economic growth.
El Salvador will teach Israel to work with cryptocurrencies
El Salvador is known for being the first to adopt bitcoin and in less than a year has shown a willingness to teach authorities in other countries how to work with the technology.
In recent days, 44 members of central banks and financial authorities have visited the country for a bitcoin immersion.
Before that, agents of the Brazilian Federal Police went to the small Central American country to study the currency at an international event on the subject.
Last week, the representative of the Salvadoran Ministry of Economy (MINEC), María Luisa Hayem, went to Israel to speak with local authorities and seek partnerships for her country.
†On the first day of my official visit to the State of Israel, I held working meetings with the heads of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economy and representatives of the International Agency for Development Cooperation, the Israeli Authority for Innovation and the Hebrew University, citing cooperation in innovation, trade and investment.†
According to the minister, one of the partnerships was with the Hebrew University, with which she signed an agreement that includes knowledge exchange. Thus, students can strengthen their centers of innovation and entrepreneurship and participate in the international internship program of the Salvadoran Cooperation Agency.
One of the areas in which Israeli students can learn more is precisely the creation of cryptocurrency systems and economic development.
Minister spoke at Israeli cryptocurrency event
On her official Twitter, María said she spoke at the Israel Crypto Conference 2022 event, showing the paths El Salvador is taking to evolve in financial technology.

This shows that El Salvador has shown the world what its symbiotic relationship is with bitcoin, after being the first country to set its future on digital currencies.
It’s worth remembering that El Salvador’s economy minister already explained about Bitcoin in Brazil when she spoke to authorities in Curitiba in 2021.
