A co-founder of Dogecoin, Elon Musk’s favorite cryptocurrency, called the billionaire a con man who “doesn’t know how to code”. Jackson Palmer recalls working to stop the famous cryptocurrency bots on Twitter, including former CEO Jack.
Dogecoin is a cryptocurrency made to be funny, a meme, but eventually gained fans all over the world. So in 2013, it was created by Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer, two programmers who believed that bitcoin was a very serious currency and wanted to play in the market.
Over time, the mint was abandoned and the two co-founders walked away from the project. Jackson Palmer, unlike Billy, has become critical of cryptocurrencies and has completely withdrawn from the market.
In July 2021, the co-creator of Dogecoin said goodbye to the market, saying that “cryptocurrencies are created by the right, the market is capitalist and toxic”.
Dogecoin Co-Founder Calls Elon Musk a Scam: “I Never Liked Him”
Despite being pulled out of the cryptocurrency market, Jackson Palmer made another public appearance in a recent interview with Crikey, an Australian website.
In his talk, he talked about his new project called Griftonomics, which is a podcast where he will talk about various topics, not just cryptocurrencies. Furthermore, he has reaffirmed his stance against digital currencies, an industry in which he would like to see the sheer number of scams such as ICOs, DAOs, NFTs and the latest NFT games end up.
He said he has a lot of mechanisms to rob people with cryptocurrencies so he doesn’t like the industry anymore. About Elon Musk, Jackson stated that he is a scammer, saying he had already voiced it in 2021, albeit vaguely at the time.
“…I was not a fan of his. He is a con man who sells a vision in the hope that one day he can fulfill what he has promised, but he does not know it. He’s very good at pretending to know. This is very clear with Tesla’s promise of fully autonomous driving. About a year ago, when Musk was talking about cryptocurrencies, I said Elon Musk was and always will be a scammer, but the world loves scammers.”
When he attacked Elon Musk and called him a scammer in 2021, the Dogecoin co-founder wasn’t clear why he thought that.
Elon Musk called Palmer a negative
In a public conversation with Billy Markus, the other co-founder of Dogecoin, Elon Musk quoted Jackson Palmer, albeit indirectly.
On the occasion, Billy asked people to listen to his former Dogecoin founder’s new podcast, which talked about cryptocurrencies. Seeing the publication, Elon Musk said Palmer is sometimes a negative person.
Back on Twitter, Jackson went so far as to say that getting a review from Elon Musk is an “unlocked achievement”, showing that he really doesn’t like the billionaire.
