In these first three cargo vehicles which went to Venezuela via the recently inaugurated Atanasio Girardot Bridge, carried 96 tons of food preparations such as soft drinks, food and snacks.
The international bridge, connecting the cities of Villa del Rosario in North Santander and Pedro Maria Urenain the state of Táchira, was inaugurated on January 1 in the presence of the Ministers of Commerce, Germán Umaña Mendoza, and of Transport, Guillermo Reyes.
Freddy Bernal, the current governor of the state of Táchira, and senior officials from the neighboring country also participated in this inauguration, a representative of the Venezuelan government.
The opening of this bridge, which was formerly known as ‘Stores’ It takes place as part of the relaunch of political, diplomatic and commercial relations between the two countries.
