Ship with 2,600 tons of liquefied petroleum gas arrived in Tumaco

To attend the emergency in the departments of Cauca and Nariño, after blocking the Pan-American highway, a ship with 2,600 tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) from Houston, United States, arrived in Tumaco, which will enable the supply of 390,000 tons to make. houses.

According to the Ministry of Mines and Energy, this ship gives a reliability of 15 days and the unloading will take an average of 5 days.

He also recalled that other measures have been taken to replenish supplies in these areas, which consist of cabotage between Buenaventura and Tumaco, via national naval vessels.

It is worth remembering that the Ministry of Mines and Energy has reported in recent days that a total of 51,000 kilograms of LPG have been transported to the city of Pasto and another 56,000 to 11 other municipalities in the region.

The Entity also emphasized that other measures have been taken for the supply of fuel gas, such as: land transport via the roads Casanare – Mocoa – Pasto, Casanare – Pitalito – Mocoa – Pasto and Casanare – Pasto, route through Ecuador, which it offers generating approximately 15, 11 and 25% respectively.
