This was indicated by the National Administrative Service for Statistics (Dane) by the results of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the month of January.
In this annual variation, the item with the highest indicator was that of food and drink non-alcoholic with a record year-on-year increase of 26.38%, followed by restaurant and hotel services (21.24%) and furniture, home and general maintenance items at 17.60%.
In the special case of the energy rates, the director of Dane indicated that the annual variation of electricity services across the country was 20.95%, while this indicator was 24.47% for Barranquilla, the eighth highest inflation city in this area.
On the other hand, monthly inflation at the end of January Colombia was 1.78%. In the case of the capital of the Atlantic Ocean, this monthly variation reached 1.61%.
