According to the Communications Regulation Commission (CRC), since the introduction of the mobile number portability measure in the country in August 2011, until December 31, 2022, there have been approximately 41.4 million porting processes or operator changes.
During the fourth quarter of 2022, a total of 2 million transports were carried out, which represents a decrease of 4.68% compared to the third quarter of 2022 and an increase of 3.25% compared to the fourth quarter of 2022. 2021.
Among the operator switching operations performed in the last quarter of 2022, Claro was the operator that recorded the most transfer operations as a recipient, that is, it received the most users through this process, reaching 646.5 thousand operations. with 490.8 thousand, Movistar with 471.2 thousand and Wom with 356.8 thousand.
Claro was also the operator that gave the most users, i.e. users transferred to other operators, with 693.5 thousand operations, followed by Tigo with 637 thousand, Movistar with 371.2 thousand and Wom with 168.7 thousand in same period.
