With great expectations, ProBarranquilla is developing its work agenda in 2023, which focuses on three strategic axes, namely attracting and retaining investment, promoting the destination as ideal for business tourism and developing an intersectoral agenda.
As part of the commemoration of its 35th anniversary, ProBarranquilla continues to work to attract new investment in Barranquilla and the Atlantic Ocean and promote nearshoring in this area.
ProBarranquilla’s executive director, Vicky Osorio, assures that there are many relocation success stories with US companies moving their operations from China to this city because of the benefits it offers, including connectivity and strategic location.
In tourism, the focus is on the business segment with an integrated view on the sectors that offer the most opportunities.
The intersectoral agenda focuses on the business climate and actions that stimulate the city for business development; public policy advocacy to generate information and foster spaces of dialogue with national and local government where impact project proposals and prioritization are made; and social management for social development and pooling private sector efforts through cooperation.
