Tamaulipas chief minister of labor Olga Sosa Ruiz announced that two companies from her organization will offer micro-component maquila to Tesla, which plans to install a gigafactory in Nuevo Leon; other than hiring workers.
“We saw Tesla’s salary offer, for example, as a mechatronics engineer, there is an offer of 180 thousand pesos a month. We will do our work for export, we will ensure the internal mobility of the workforce, as we call it in the Secretariat, so that they can go to Nuevo Leon to work.”
He stressed that his unit will conduct monitoring work to ensure compliance with current labor laws so that people can take advantage of offers of work in conditions of safety and welfare.
He insisted that in due course they would contact Tesla for recruitment, as they had done with other companies.
Sosa Ruiz said the installation of the Tesla plant in Nuevo Leon will have economic repercussions and will benefit other states, with whom he celebrated the announcement.
