Cut steel expects growth of 15% this year

Aceros Cortados expects growth of 15% for that year as part of its strategy to strengthen its industrial position by expanding its logistics capacity, improving delivery times and efficient stock availability.

The company cuts or processes 90,000 tons of steel per year and exports 10% of its turnover, in addition it imports 1 million tons of flat steel per year

“The evolution in terms of innovation and sustainability is the result of the transformations of the various industries. Our challenge is to continue to consolidate the entire operation and the service we provide to our customers at home and abroad,” confirms Aceros Cortados General Manager Jaime Alberto Saa.

He assured that the location of the main production site in Malambo Industrial Park (PIMSA), municipality of Malambo, Atlántico, ensures a timely service for the delivery of domestic and imported raw materials, with the benefits of service integration and an efficient network of transport to all cities of the country, allowing a range of products and competitive prices. It also has another operations center in Girardota – Antioquia.

Saa indicates that sectors such as auto parts, white goods, transformer manufacturing, construction and metal container manufacturing, among others, are some of the segments that are consolidating the broad cut steel purchase market in the country, bearing in mind that Colombia is one of the countries with the largest industrial structure in the region.
