The last days of March were quite busy for Ecopetrol. On the one hand, the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce (SIC) made an administrative visit to the company’s offices that caused a stir in the media and, on the other hand, Felipe Bayón said goodbye to the presidency in the context of the General Meeting of Shareholders.
Amid this news, the company’s new board of directors was elected and the distribution of $33.2 billion in dividends between minority shareholders and the Nation was determined.
“2022 was a historic year for Ecopetrol in terms of financial and operational results. The efficiency program has been a lever for generating organizational value, we managed to return to pre-pandemic production levels,” Bayón told shareholders.
