The Council of Ministers rescues the Almaviva workers. In the decree law on the organization of public administrations, which was approved on Thursday evening, the rule aimed at guaranteeing continuity of service to the employees of the call center giant was added. This was announced by the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy.
The provision will allow the company’s employees to continue their activities until at least next 31 December, through an allocation of 5 million euros aimed at reinstating the “1500” contact center service. This is the public service number set for the Covid emergency.
Meloni government’s plan to recruit three thousand people, more money for researchers and competitions for schools
From 31 December, workers were subjected to zero hour layoffs and, paradoxically, forfeited workers’ warranty entitlements as they were redirected to the “1500” call center instead of their other activities in Almaviva. It’s called social substance. The deal stalled, triggering protests and demonstrations. Now the government’s move.
