Colombia will experience very moderate growth of 1% in 2023 and 1.9% in 2024. Inflation will rise to 10.9% this year but moderate to 5.2% next year, the new report indicated for the global economic outlook International Monetary Fund (IMF), published this Tuesday.
In this sense, the IMF lowered its forecast by 0.1 percentage point from the forecast it presented last January.
The revision of the growth of 1.9% for 2024 also showed a decrease of 0.2 percentage point, compared to 2.1% in January.
The IMF has maintained that inflation will reach 4% by then, after being cut to 7.9% this year.
The Monetary Authority’s report also found that the economies of Latin America and the Caribbean they will grow slightly in 2023, but will still face high inflation.
