Air-e proposes articulated work with communities for sustainability

Air-e, which promotes the development of its stakeholders’ sustainability, has highlighted the company’s good practices through the consolidation of its triple impact.

For the company, conservation, prevention and environmental protection to minimize the impact of the operation is one of the main objectives of its strategic planning.

As part of the company’s environmental commitment, carbon footprint measurement began in 2021 for Scope 1.2 emissions and construction of Scope 3 by 2022, providing initial verification of the footprint calculation by the end of the year 2022.

Management has paid special attention to the impacts of climate change on ecosystems and the availability of natural resources, working to maintain and reinforce good practices that enable efficiency and contribute to the protection and conservation of natural resources. sources.

Everything indicates that the reduction of scope 1 and 2 emissions contributes to achieving the SDGs (sustainable development goals), the 2030 agenda set by the United Nations and the national government’s 2050 plan.

For the users

In 2022, programs such as Ennova, which promotes responsible energy use practices in educational institutions, were implemented through the “Ennova S-Cool” program. 385 educational institutions from Atlantico, Magdalena and La Guajira participated in the challenge.

Similarly, Hogares Air-e is another community-building program that provides access to efficient refrigerators for families from strata 1 and 2 of the Atlantic through institutional alliances.

Until 2022, with the delivery of 1,600 refrigerators, the reduction of GHG (Greenhouse Gases) was recorded at 58,343.20 kg Co2 and the average energy consumption marked a favorable percentage of 11.45%.

According to Víctor De Luque, Air-e’s Social Value manager, the balance is very positive, as the sustainability and the joint work with the communities has enabled the development of different social processes in the departments where the company operates.
