YouTube to expand 30-second non-skippable ads

YouTube has announced that it will include ads of up to 30 seconds in the platform’s TV broadcast that users won’t be able to miss as they are better suited to that larger screen.

The tech company shared some news for advertisers at the event brandcastheld this Wednesday.

During the event, the company highlighted a change in trend among consumers, at least in the United States: the rise broadcast platform on TV.

To help advertisers adapt to these changes, YouTube announced that instead of two consecutive 15-second clips, it now includes 30 second advertisement there is no way to miss.

This is the format advertising that he understands that “this fits perfectly with what audiences already expect and see on the big screen,” as his official blog states. Later they will include a pause for the moment when the user stops the video.
