Representatives of the gas sector meet at the Naturgas congress

On May 24, 25 and 26, the 25th edition of the Congress of the Colombian Natural Gas Association (Naturgas) will be held in Barranquilla at the Puerta de Oro Event Center.

The event brings together representatives from the entire chain of the natural gas sector, including experts on national and international energy issues, representatives of national and local governments, business people, academics, communities.

During this congress short-term and structural issues of the sector, international trends, public and regulatory policies will be analyzed and discussed, highlighting the role of natural gas and the future of renewable gases as key vectors for achieving the goals of an energy transition. framed in social transformation and the fight against climate change.

“Natural gas is the most consistent source of energy for the country’s needs because it is an effective tool for reducing poverty and closing inequality gaps: every time a vulnerable family connects to the natural gas service, it contributes to improving quality of life, well-being, household well-being is increased and poverty is reduced,” said Luz Stella Murgas, President of Naturgas.

The event has 500 participating companies, 15 academic sessions, nearly 1,350 participants and the presence of 20 countries.

The presence of the President of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, as well as the Minister of Mines and Energy, Irene Vélez, is expected during the installation.
