Profeco encourages people to consume responsibly during the Hot Sale

Federal Prosecutor’s Office for Consumer Protection (St.prophecy) urged the public to consume responsibly and wisely during another of the largest online sale in Mexico hot sale.

In a statement, the Attorney General’s Office also asked consumers to look for the Profeco digital badge at participating companies such as guarantee of security and confidence.

The latter is recognition given to those suppliers of goods, products or services that stand out by promoting and preferring clear and complete information, as well as security, transparency, privacy, trust and legal certainty to the consumer in e-commerce; that is, those vendors who sell their products or services through digital platforms on the Internet.

During last year’s edition of this online sales program, Profeco received 68 claims, with the cancellation of the purchase and the violation of the offer as the main reasons for the complaint. The vendors with the most complaints were Huawei, Walmart, Amazon, Liverpool, Elektra, Office Depot, Soriana and Sears.
