Trenitalia has introduced the “Summer Experience 2023”, the summer rail schedule from 11 June. More trains to summer tourist destinations, new integrated travel solutions by train, bus, ship and plane; ad hoc promotions for families and young people; special attention to those who decide to go on holiday with their four-legged friends. Stefano Cuzzilla, President of Trenitalia, and Luigi Corradi, Managing Director and General Manager of Trenitalia, presented in Rome the innovations aimed at developing mobility capable of offering travelers an increasingly complete travel experience. In total, there are more than 10,000 train connections per day and around 19,000 bus trips between Italy and Europe offered by the FS Group Passenger Hub for travel in the name of sustainability, combined with comfort and safety.
For Luigi Corradi, CEO and Managing Director of Trenitalia, he declared: “With the Trenitalia Summer Experience at Polo Passeggeri, we are further strengthening customer care, which is increasingly at the center of all our decisions. To meet the growing demand for travel, especially for those traveling for pleasure or leisure, we invested heavily in new trains and buses and increased the frequency of our vehicles on weekends.
The central and strategic element of Polo Passeggeri is intermodality. That’s why we decided to further enrich the traveler’s experience and offer integrated solutions for the entire trip, from home to destination, and not just from station to station.
The success of train and bus connections, combined with the growing demand for those who choose to travel by bicycle on board our trains, means that our bet translates into added value for the tourism industry and for the territories where, all Every day, our people work not only on board the train, but also in the factories and workshops to guarantee the quality and excellence of Made in Italy».
