It’s too hot at the factory: Stellantis sends workers home

It is very hot in the factory and workers are being sent home. The news comes from Stellantis, who released the employees of the Panda department at the Pomigliano d’Arco factory. They had already stopped by themselves two days ago as the heat made it impossible for them to do their work.

Yesterday morning, everything looked “tidy” as the workers worked in optimal weather conditions. Everything changed when temperatures rose again in the Panda department in the afternoon, causing the company to send everyone home from 4pm.

On Monday, after the first stop, the company met with union representatives to come up with a plan for these very hot days. Workers were assured that cooling systems would be open 24 hours a day, water bottles would be distributed and energy drinks would be discounted from vending machines.
