By the end of the year, almost all Benzina stations in the Czech Republic will operate under the Orlen brand. The information was provided by Daniel Obajtek.
In May of this year, Orlen’s president, Daniel Obajtek, spoke about the company’s plans for the Czech market. Currently, the rebranding of petrol stations of Unipetrol controlled by Poland is underway. By the end of the year there will be 200 stations in the Czech Republic with the Orlen logo.
On Thursday, Obajtek announced that Orlen will become the largest brand in the fuel market of our southern neighbors after the rebranding process is completed.
“Orlen’s foreign expansion is getting better results – we are becoming the number 1 fuel brand in the Czech Republic. By the end of the year, almost 90 percent of the service stations that previously operated under the Benzina name will start operating under the ORLEN brand. This is another step towards building a strong company that plays a major role in the region,” Orlen’s head wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

The Polish group is consistently building its position in Central and Eastern Europe. Orlen recently entered into an agreement with Doppler Beteiligungs GmbH under which it will acquire 100 percent of the shares in Doppler Energie GmbH – the operator of the Austrian network of service stations operating under the Turmöl brand – the company announced. As a result, the Orlen Group will take over 266 gas stations in Austria.
It is also worth recalling that stations of the Polish concern can also be found in Slovakia. Currently Orlen has about 80 stations there, by the end of the year it will have almost 100 points. The new stations will be located throughout the country, eg in Bratislava and Kosice. The maintenance-free facilities will operate under the Orlen Express brand.
In total, at least 3.5 thousand stores will operate under the Orlen brand in Central and Eastern Europe by the end of 2030. stations, including the share of foreign stations in the entire network, rose from 37 to 45 percent.
