In a new study, respondents were asked how much they plan to spend on their children’s school supplies this year and which items are purchased most often.

“How much do you plan to spend on a school pack for one child?” – asked PayPo interviewers. 34 percent of the survey participants gave the answer 251-500 PLN, 20 percent. – PLN 501-750, 12 percent – PLN 751-1000, 7 percent – PLN 1001-1250, 6 percent – more than PLN 1,500, 5% – PLN 50-250, and 4 percent. – PLN 1251-1500. While 12 percent of respondents chose the “I don’t know/it’s hard to say” option.
Moreover, as it turned out, the largest number of respondents – 88 percent. – wants to buy things for her child for the new school year, such as pencil cases, notebooks or colored pencils. 79 percent of respondents said it will be sportswear and footwear; 75 percent – casual wear and shoes; 73 percent – textbooks and books; 57 percent – backpack/school bag; 18 percent – elements of room furnishings; 14 percent – electronic equipment, while 1 percent. – other things.
Free laptops for students
Let’s not forget that on July 14, President Andrzej Duda signed the law supporting the development of digital competences of students and teachers. The action will be implemented from the 2023/2024 school year.
The office of the minister responsible for computerization makes an annual central purchase based on figures from the minister responsible for education and upbringing. The laptops are then delivered to the school boards, who transfer ownership of the equipment to the parents of fourth-grade students of the primary schools. Laptops obtained by law will not be sold for a period of five years.
