Femsa CEO Daniel Rodriguez Cofre dies this Friday evening in Santiago de Chile.
“All his achievements are even more appreciated for his characteristic leadership style. He was a visionary, assertive, simple, reliable, empathetic and tenacious leader, among many other qualities,” said CEO and Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company José Antonio Fernandez Carbajal.
Last July, Rodriguez Cofre stepped down as CEO to focus on his health and treating his colon cancer diagnosis.

He was replaced by José Antonio Fernández Carbajal, who is also Executive President of the Council and former CEO of Femsa.
“After a period of deep reflection, I have made this difficult decision, which I consider the best for my family and for Femsa. Hosting Femsa has filled my professional life deeply and I am very proud of the achievements we have achieved together,” Rodriguez Cofre said in a statement.
