On Tuesday, the cabinet will discuss projects about the amount and payment of the supplementary, fourteenth pensions in 2023.
The draft regulations state that the full benefit must be PLN 2,650 gross and must be paid in September.
– Today we have regulations, two Councils of Ministers, which we will consider in a moment, (…) today, because we want to pay from September, so September will be the month in which the 14th pension will be paid – said the Minister of Family and Social Policy Officer Marlena Maląg on TVP1.
Under the law on the next annual supplementary payment in cash for pensioners of old age and incapacity for work, the date of payment of the benefit and its amount (according to the law, at least the amount of the lowest old-age pension) are specified in the regulations of the Council of Ministers . By law, the regulations must be issued by October 31 this year.
The 14th retirement is getting closer and closer
The law assumes that the beneficiaries are entitled to an additional annual cash payment amounting to:

the amount of the lowest old-age pension, applicable from 1 March of the year in which the next additional annual benefit is paid, for persons whose basic benefit before deductions, deductions and reductions does not exceed PLN 2.9 thousand. zloty;

the amount of the lowest old-age pension, applicable from March 1 of the year in which the supplementary benefit is paid, less the amount of the difference between the amount of the basic benefit before deductions, deductions and reductions and the amount of PLN 2.9 thousand . PLN, for persons whose basic allowance, before deductions, deductions and discounts, exceeds 2.9 thousand PLN. zloty.
The amount of the next additional annual benefit is at least PLN 50. Therefore, if the amount of the benefit is less than PLN 50, it will not be awarded.
No application is required to receive the 14th pension.
