Upon their return from summer vacation, Italian retirees will receive their September pension check in the usual alphabetical order. And with some new features: Increases of up to 250 euros are foreseen for some, but there are also tax withholdings. Let’s see in detail what changes and increases in treatments will be in the next month. In the past months, the INPS allowed retirees to pay raises and debts, but there is a time gap between the authorization of the social security agency and the actual activation of the loan, which explains the September delay.
After the tax wedge cut envisaged in the 2023 budget law, there will be an increase of 1.5 points among those who receive a minimum pension under the age of 75. For people over 75, the increase will be 6.64 points and at least 600 euros per month. In addition to the measures determined by the maneuver last year, the increases in checks in September also take into account the inflation trend, which has remained high despite the decline in recent weeks. It rose 5.9% year-on-year in July, according to Istat.
Another loan that meets the conditions is provided to retirees who submit the 730 declaration model on time and choose the social security institution as the withholding tax liability. Between increases and debits, some retirement checks in September will swell up to 250 euros more than a monthly loan. But early next month, treatments won’t just be counted with plus signs: even deductions from municipality’s account and balance surcharges, regional surcharges and İrpef will also appear on checks.
As for crediting methods, people who receive the check directly into their bank account only have to wait a few days. It is possible to contact the post offices in the region for the cash withdrawal of the treatment, checks and pocket money paid to the disabled civilians. For collection at the post office, the calendar will follow the usual alphabetical order. On Friday, September 1, we start with surnames A and B. However, on Saturday morning, September 2, retirees named C and D are included. 4 Monday, last name order from E to K. 5 Tuesday surname order. L to O, P to R on Wednesday, September 6th. Surnames S to Z close on Thursday, September 7th.
