According to press reports, the number of vacancies in the IT sector, which has long been one of the most stable sectors in the labor market, is declining.
According to “Rzeczpospolita”, despite successive economic turbulences and repeated announcements of the crisis, the IT sector has long remained one of the most stable sectors in the labor market. But here, too, “shocks” have occurred in recent months – the newspaper analyzes and emphasizes in the context of IT specialists that “all Poles were jealous of their merits”.
According to data from Unity Group for the first half of this year, quoted by Rzeczpospolita, the number of job vacancies for experts in the video game industry increased by more than 30% during the year. decrease.
The paper points out that the deepest quilting, almost half, can be seen in the Ruby programming language. The demand for specialists in Go and HTML languages has fallen by almost a quarter. Specialists in mobile technologies can also complain about less interest (a drop of 15%).
“This leads to a large decrease in salaries. Analysts give the example of specialists in the HTML category, where in January a senior could count on PLN 30,000 per month, and in June these rates were only PLN 17.3 thousand” – we read in the article.
Artificial intelligence is flourishing
Michał Szum, head of customer service at Just Join IT, quoted therein, who has been analyzing data from the IT job market for several years, says Python programmers can rest easy. The reason for this is the continued growth of artificial intelligence. However, the analyst emphasizes that, paradoxically, Python programmer salaries are not increasing.
“This is because the supply matches the demand. This language has been very fashionable for years and is described as future-proof. That is why we have a large group of experienced and competent specialists on the market – argues the expert.
As “Rzeczpospolita” points out, there will be even more programmers in Poland. This is the goal behind the initiative announced Thursday, backed by the Ministry of Digitization, NASK and Miron Mironiuk, the creator of the Cosmose AI start-up, a company valued at more than $1 billion.
