He explained that the embargoes the company has should return to the court principal, which is estimated to require some $2 billion in resources.
“All those resources that we are going to collect, which belong to the company but where they shouldn’t be, will allow us to reactivate Coolechera. We also hope that in some good talks with the banking sector we can secure those extra resources that will allow us to be more flexible in the recovery,” said Arango López.
He added: “We hope that with the resources we are going to obtain, confidence will be able to return to the workers and the livestock sector. We give peace of mind to the consumers that they will continue to receive the best quality products”.
The cooperative, founded in 1933 in the city Barranquillahas about 1,000 direct members, some of which are cooperatives or associations of small producers.
