We must leave the EU. Poland loses more than it gains from EU membership.

The ban on the use of combustion cars is such a violation of freedom and freedom of choice that it alone could be a sufficient reason for Polexit. However, there are many more reasons.

Sławomir Mentzen and the President of Nowa Nadzieja, and Ryszard Petru, founder and former head of Nowoczesna, held a radio debate on economic issues. At one point, Petru asked a simple question: “If there were a referendum today on Poland’s departure from the European Union, just like in Great Britain, you have two options: you vote yes or no. I ask for a clear statement: do we remain in this imperfect Union or do we leave it? Instead of answering immediately, Mentzen started hesitantly and avoided answering until time expired. Redundant. As it stands, Poland loses more than it gains from membership of the European Union, and this balance will deteriorate rapidly in the coming years. Therefore, there can only be one answer: we must leave the EU. It seems that President Mentzen did not want to admit this officially and unequivocally for electoral reasons, for fear of losing some support. This is a mistake, because the vast majority of Confederation supporters are aware of the destructive nature of Poland’s membership of the Union.

Climate policy

Firstly, the EU’s energy and climate policies only bring losses to Poland. And it’s huge. It’s not just about energy (Anna Moskwa, Minister of Climate and Environment, stated in an interview with “Rzeczpospolita” that as part of the need for Poland to adapt to the EU’s energy and climate policies by 2040, the spending on energy generation capacity alone will amount to PLN 726, PLN 4 billion) and energy-intensive industries forced into the ETS and forced to buy absurd CO2 emission allowances so that Poland would give up coal and gas in favor of wind turbines and solar photovoltaics -energy.
