Putin makes an offer to Germany. It’s about Nord Stream 2

Russia is ready to supply gas to Europe through the remaining Nord Stream 2 pipeline, but the decision lies with Germany, Vladimir Putin said.

The Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 pipelines, which run from Russia to Germany at the bottom of the Baltic Sea, were severely damaged in an explosion in September 2022, but one NS2 pipeline survived.

During a meeting of the Valdai Club, Putin suggested the possibility of supplying gas through this intact branch. – This is only a decision of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany. Nothing else is needed. Today it is a decision, tomorrow we open the tap and the gas flows – he said, adding that Berlin “at the expense of its own interests” refuses to import Russian gas because Washington does not allow it.

Putin: The truth will finally come to light

Putin called the explosions in the Nord Stream system an “act of international terrorism” and stated that Russia was denied participation in the investigation. He also expressed his belief that eventually the truth would come out and “it would be clear who did it.”

– You must always answer the question of who has an interest in it. Naturally, the American supplier of energy raw materials to the European market is interested. Americans have wanted this for a long time and they have achieved it. And by whose hands it no longer matters, Putin said.

Nord Current. Who blew up the gas pipeline and why?

Explosions in the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines occurred on September 26, 2022 in the exclusive economic zones of Sweden and Denmark. The case is being investigated by law enforcement agencies in both countries and Germany. Everyone concluded that it was sabotage, but it is still unknown who is behind it.

At the time of the explosion, both pipelines were not transporting gas to Germany – the commissioning of NS2 was suspended by Berlin due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and the transmission of NS1 was suspended indefinitely by Gazprom at the end of August under the pretext of technical failures in the compressor station in Russia.

Moscow has previously claimed that the West is behind the explosions of gas pipelines to Germany, but has not provided any evidence. In February, Washington denied the information of one of the famous American journalists, Seymour Hersh, who claimed that the United States was behind the explosions in Nord Stream.
