– Poles pay more than 6 PLN for fuel, and it was delivered to Ukraine for less than 4 PLN – said Krzysztof Bosak from Konfederacja.
– It turns out that Poland supports the Ukrainian state not only with social benefits, not only by transferring weapons, but also with fuel on a large scale. We are not talking about trivial amounts, said the MP.
Citing data from the Center for Eastern Studies, Bosak said that only in the period from January to May, 680,000 tons of ready-made fuels went to Ukraine.
– These are 170 large tankers that operate every day. Drivers, carriers and our activists living near the border with Ukraine have long said they could see a procession of Polish tankers heading to Ukraine. Today we learn the extent of this, we learn, among other things: from the ‘Newsweek’ article – he said at a press conference.
Bosak added that the fuel going there is not covered by SENT’s monitoring system. – We don’t really know where the fuel goes and what happens to it. If a tanker theoretically going to Ukraine wanted to pour this fuel in Poland – this is how fuel smuggling and fuel scandals occur – this is in fact unverifiable from the point of view of the Ministry of Finance. We all know very well the extent of corruption in Ukraine, he said. The MP emphasized that he found these reports ‘shocking’.
Bosak: Fuel without excise duty and VAT
– The second point, which is no less interesting and which shows that we are dealing with a situation that is a thief, is the fact that fuel going to Ukraine is not subject to VAT or excise duties, which means that when Poland pay fuel above 6 PLN, it went to Ukraine for less than 4 PLN. This is a huge difference, the question is why Poles have to pay much more for fuel than Ukrainians – continued one of the leaders of the Confederation.
– The PiS government uses Orlen for its election campaign. Secondly, it consistently uses the entire infrastructure of the Polish state to support the neighboring state and nation – financially, with weapons and fuel – without getting anything in return, just taking one blow after another – he pointed out.
