This project aims to support the National Healthcare System, which will benefit 4.7 million people children and 625,000 elderly and disabled people in need of support and care, and 3.6 million people, the majority of whom womenwho spend more than seven hours a day on unpaid care activities.
Approximately 2.1 million paid healthcare providers will benefit.

“This loan supports the consolidation and implementation of the National System for Registration, Attention, Follow-up and Monitoring of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) to integrate the focus lines and reach the areas with the largest social and economic gaps. Furthermore, it will improve the quality of care and reduce barriers to access to health care and justice, among others,” said the IDB.
