Food makers will gain access to $350,000 million in credit

Through the ‘Special credit line’ (LEC) Strategic Sectors will be able to fund food production activities by deploying resources worth $350,000 million.

This has been established by the Minister of Agriculture, Rodolfo Zea Navarroto stimulate food production.

“Due to the rise in food prices, we have launched a series of actions, including financing, in particular the implementation of a subsidized credit line to encourage the planting of products from the Colombian countryside,” said the minister.

He added that in total there is a $32,000 million pocket in grant with this line, which will use credits for $350 billion
