Advance of 5 billion euros from KPO. ‘Poland has figured it out’

According to media findings, the 5 billion euro advance from the KPO will definitely go to Poland. The European Commission’s decision on this has already been completed.

The European Commission’s decision on an advance of five billion euros for Poland from the revised FPA is ready for formal approval next Tuesday. Poland actually already has this money in its pocket, RMF FM reported.

– The decision on the amended Polish KPO and the five billion advance has already been prepared for formal approval by the College of Commissioners on November 21 in a written procedure – a senior European Commission official told the station’s correspondent.

At the same time, it should be noted that the decision on 5 billion euros is not related to the unblocking of the National Reconstruction Plan, the implementation of which is related to Poland’s fulfillment of the so-called milestones. “This is an advance of five billion from the amended KPO in connection with the August 31 request of Mateusz Morawicki’s government to use the entire pool of loans available to Poland and subsidies to become energy independent of Russia,” specifies RMF FM . This amount consists of 551 million euros from the pool of subsidies and 4.5 billion euros from the pool of new loans for energy independence.

Puda: Poland will receive more than 5 billion euros in advance payments from the KPO

– The payment of the funds is the result of many months of work and very effective actions of officials of the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy – said Grzegorz Puda, Minister of Funds and Regional Policy, on Wednesday.

He said that a positive assessment by the European Commission of the amended FPA and the new chapter of REPowerEU is expected early next week, and its adoption by the Council of the European Union is expected to take place on December 8.

Payment of advances to Poland

The payment of advances to Poland from the Recovery and Resilience Fund results from the programming of investments and reforms in the new chapter of the FPA, namely REPowerEU. The REPowerEU budget awards Poland €2.76 billion in grants and another €22.5 billion in loans. The funds will be disbursed after the Minister of Funds and Regional Policy signs agreements with the EC for the subsidy and loan portion in December.

Next year, Poland will receive advances in two tranches, each amounting to more than 2.5 billion euros (from the grant and loan part). Our country will receive two advances from the subsidy part, each for an amount of more than PLN 1.2 billion. Poland submitted the application for revision of the KPO on time. – The awarding of money to our country under REPowerEU is the result of my submission, as Minister, of an appropriate application and the very effective actions of officials of the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy – said Grzegorz Puda.
